1. Our Role
Talk To The Book is a storage and AI processing service. Users upload their own books (PDF, EPUB, TXT) for personal use. We do not curate, index, or publicly distribute user-uploaded content.
We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive, and equivalent laws worldwide.
2. User Responsibility
By uploading a book, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the copyright to the work, OR
- You have explicit permission from the copyright holder, OR
- The work is in the public domain, OR
- Your use constitutes fair use
We do not endorse piracy. Uploading pirated books is a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.
3. How to report infringement
If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe that user-uploaded content on our Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notification to our designated DMCA Agent.

- Your physical or electronic signature

4. We process valid DMCA notices within 5 business days
We process valid DMCA notices within 5 business days. After receiving a valid notice, we remove or disable access to the affected content and notify the user who uploaded it.
5. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice including: identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake, your consent to local federal court jurisdiction, and your signature.
6. Repeat infringers
We keep a record of DMCA notices. Accounts of users who receive three or more valid notices may be permanently terminated.
7. Misrepresentation
By making a copyright infringement claim, you are responsible for its truthfulness. False claims may result in legal consequences under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
